Revolution time....

The Voveo Project is a dream that God has placed on my heart. This isn't another cop out ministry, another half hearted outreach, it is a call to change my nation. It has never really been a mystery that God's work is more for outside the church walls than inside of them and that is exactly the purpose of the Voveo Project. Jesus never did His miracles in a building, He was out with the people, in the marketplace, walking among the people. The poor, hungry, diseased, untouchables, outcasts and brokenhearted. These people, which many forget, are the people that gnaw at my heart and causes me to be moved. This generation is what my heart really breaks for, and those that struggle with suicide. But underneath it all, anyone and anything that moves the heart of God, moves me. That is where the Voveo Project comes into play....

I want to rally our generation, the youth of our land, to rise up and leave a legacy of change. A generation that has a focus on community, freedom, peace, hope, but most importantly love. Not just any love but a revolutionary love....

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." John 13:34-35 NIV

Jesus gave us all a simple command - yes a command we have no other option in this - to love the way he loved. We are to emulate Jesus and his love at all time. And Jesus even goes further to say that by this love, revolutionary love, people will actually know WHO we belong to. People will know whom we follow. Our witness rests in our love for people; for all people from the richest to the poorest.

Out of this I find my vision and my purpose; to discover what this love is and how to fully let it operate in my life. I believe in selfless acts of service, I believe in miraculous signs and wonders, I believe in sometimes just listening, and I believe in trying to help out in anyway possible. How many more lives must be filled with pain, hopelessness, loneliness, hunger, longing, and rejection before Christians finally decide enough is enough? I hope that time is now. The time to rise up and change a nation, to fill our streets with the love and power of Jesus Christ.
